FAQ ON BRANDING

What is my brand?
Your brand is the external expression of your business strategy as conveyed in every action of a company. It becomes the company's "personality" in the marketplace - its reputation for how well it delivers against what it promises.

What is a brand platform?
A Brand Platform is a set of guidelines that govern all aspects of the Brand: visual, semantic, perceptual, and implementation. It defines how you want to be perceived - emotionally and logically - by your potential customers.

Which employees need to know about the brand platform?
All of them. The actions of every employee can impact the reputation of your brand.

Why should a small company brand?
A strong brand can contribute to your ability to create new clients and grow revenue. A start-up or young company with a clear brand strategy looks like a bigger, more professional, and more established organization.

What is the five main methods of Logo?
Five step method to take a brand from Vision to Value. These steps are:

  • Vision - the foundation of your brand promise
  • Image - the look and feel of all aspects of your brand identity
  • Message - a collection of statements supporting your brand promise
  • Means - the methods you use to promote your brand in the market, and
  • Implementation - putting in place business processes in support of the brand platform.

Why use the Method
The Method assists you to build good brand management practices in to your corporate DNA, i.e. your business process. It helps you implement the ABC's of branding - making sure your vision, image, messages and means are
A - appropriate for your market,
B - believable by your customers,
C - consistently delivered.

What is it important to have a brand vision?
A Brand Vision establishes a set of core values with clarity of purpose. The Brand Vision when communicated throughout an organization will align your business process, employee behavior, and communication vehicles to deliver the type of products and services in a way that support your Brand Platform.

How do we evaluate our brand's visual image?
Collect a set of all your published materials - documents, forms, presentations, brochures, ads, labels, etc. - and lay them out on a table. Do they all look like they came from the same company? Or are they each have a different look?

What messages are most important to communicate?
Unless you want to be in a commodity market, you need to be able to differentiate your offering from the rest of the market. You need to make your message stand out from the noise. Maybe you really do have a better mouse trap - is that clear from your messages?

What are the "Means"?
The means include all the ways in which you convey your image and communicate your message. Far beyond a logo, they include documents, proposals and faxes; presentations including specific content and style of delivery as well as format; advertising; trade shows; web site implementation; phone interactions; customer support to name few.

FAQ ON GRAPHIC

What kind of graphic design services do you provide?
Our graphic design services are varied and comprehensive.  We provide logo design, brochure design, illustrations, graphics for web sites, direct mail design, marketing, stationery - including business card, letterhead, envelope, mailing label, and presentation folder design, and any other printing your business may require.  Give us a call to see what we can do for you.

What do you charge for your graphic design services?
Prices depend on many variants but you can be sure that the money you're paying is for high-quality, uncompromised work.  You won't find that with some of our competitors.  We encourage prospective clients to compare MooreAdvice with agencies producing the same level of work.  If you would like us to price out a job for you, give us a call today.

What is the client's involvement in the design process?

We thoroughly discuss the project at hand with our client from the beginning.  We encourage the client to bring in any samples, color combinations/swatches, and ideas they may have.  During the design process, the client is asked to approve certain milestones before work continues.  At the conclusion of a project, the client may request the artwork in various formats.

How do I check on the progress of my job during the design process?
The client is kept abreast of the progress of their job through our approval process.  We present the project to the client at certain stages, or milestones, and wait for approval before we continue work.  We find that this process keeps the client involved and prevents any breakdowns in communication.  In between these milestones, the client is free to call in to get an update.

How will I receive my design project once it is finished?
A finished project is yours upon receipt of final payment.  At your request, we will supply the electronic files to you on CD, floppy, or through e-mail.  We also keep a copy of your project on file for later updates or should you lose your copy.

Who owns the copyright for work MooreAdvice has done for me?
Copyright is yours upon receipt of final payment.  We do, however, reserve the right to use any work for promotional purposes.

How does your logo design process work?
We first discuss the client's needs, target market, and uses for this logo.  We then ask for samples of existing logos that the client likes or dislikes to get an idea of their taste.  Sometimes the client already has a design concept in mind.  Other times, they have no idea what they want.  Either way, our designers make sure they've collected enough information before they begin work.  Our logo design service is very flexible.  If you'd like to see only a few concepts or if you need many, our service can be priced according to your needs.

I need something designed yesterday.  Can you help me?
We can usually accommodate your rush job depending on how full our production schedule is.  To be fair to other clients, if a job already in production is interrupted by a rush job, we reserve the right to add an additional 50% - 100% on top of the normal price.

I don't know where to start.  Can you help me?
Call us at 01-481-0270.   We'll listen to your needs and tell you what your options are.  A job may seem overwhelming until you have the right experts helping you out.   We can put things in perspective and offer solutions that you may not have even considered.

FAQ ON INTERACTIVE

Does my business need a website?
Ask yourself, "Does my business need 24-hour exposure 7 days a week, 365 days a year?"   The answer is obvious.  What other medium allows you to expose all the benefits of your small business to your target market at their convenience and provide a source of direct correspondence from them to you? The benefits of a website are innumerable.

How many pages do I need?
This all depends on how much content you have. Every business website should have an 'About Us' page (or something similarly titled) to tell your visitors about your business. After that, it depends on what type of business you have. A good rule of thumb is not to overwhelm your audience with too much information on each page. Disperse the information and break it up into digestable pages and paragraphs. Long pages of text tend to overwhelm the reader.  Break content up to truly get your audience's attention.

What is a host and does my small business website need one?
A host is a company that connects your small business website to the World Wide Web 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
